The Caribbean Baseball Association (CBA):
The Caribbean Baseball Association (CBA) is a fan-proposed merger of all of the leagues participating in the currently existing Caribbean Series. It is the highest-level baseball league at club level in Latin America, featuring the domestic teams in Columbia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.
The regular-season runs from October to December and is followed by a 4-team playoff play-in series in each country (2 teams from each Cuban division) in January to determine the divisional champions. The postseason tournament location is rotated annually among the 8 countries and is normally played in February after all of the leagues have ended their national tournaments. The CBA also uses a combination of American baseball and Welsh baseball rules.
